Zodiac Signs

Aries
The MythThe children of an ancient king had a wicked stepmother. She convinced the king to sacrifice his son and daughter to the gods. At the last moment, however, Zeus sent a golden ram to save them. The children held on to the ram's golden fleece as it flew away. The girl lost her grip, fell into the ocean, and drowned, but the boy rode the ram all the way to a distant land called Colchis. There he sacrificed the ram to Zeus and gave its golden fleece to the king of Colchis.
Many years later, the hero Jason set out in his ship, the Argo, to bring the golden fleece back to Greece. The tale of his journey is one of the greatest of all Greek myths. Jason's leadership qualities, the adventurous spirit, and bravery make thim the archetypal Arien.
The Aries character
Keywords: +Dynamic+ +Enthusiastic+ +Youthful+ -Quick tempered- -Impulsive- -Selfish-First Desire: To LeadTask: To be more patient
Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, begins on the 1st day of spring. The influence of this season is clear in Ariens: their joyful, childlike love of life keeps them forever young.
Ariens are fierce individualists who prefer to lead than to follow. They enjoy challenges and new beginnings, delight in taking risks and breaking rules, and despise dull routines.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and adventurous -- as are all fire signs -- Ariens are also impulsive, impatient and impractical. Like the ram, they plow forward with lowered heads, ignoring all obstacles and caring little for details.
The motto of Ariens is "I AM". They seek their own identity through interaction with others, and enjoy competition and conflict. Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, and people of this sign can be very emotional, aggressive, and argumentative.
In love, Ariens are passionate but fickle. They like drama in their love lives and take great pleasure in making new conquests. To keep an Arien lover's interest, things must be fresh and exciting.

Gemini
The MythZeus disguised himself as a swan and made love to Leda, the wife of the king of Sparta. (huh?! wtf?!) Leda gave birth to 2 sets of twins, one male and one female. The boys were Castor and Pollux, the girls were Helen and Clytemnestra. Pollux and Helen were immortal, while their brother and sister were not.
Castor and Pollux were always together. In addition to being brothers, they were the best of friends. They shared many adventures, the most famous of which was their voyage with Jason on his ship, the Argo.
Unfortunately, Castor was killed in a battle. Pollux was so sad about his brother's death that Zeus granted his wish to remain w ith Castor forever. For this, he placed them both among the stars, as the constellation we now call Gemini.
The Gemini Character
Keywords: +Flexible+ +Imaginative+ +Expressive+ -Flighty- -Divisive- -Inconsistent-First Desire: To CommunicateTask: To be more loving
Geminis are curious, restless, and charming, but are basically insecure. They like new experiences, variety, and change. They experiment with various roles in life and may often feel depressed.
Geminis express themselves easily in writing and speech. This sign is ruled by the planet Mercury, named for the Roman messenger-god, and Germinis are superb communicators. Quick-witted, they are known for their wonderful sense of humor -- and for being imaginative liars.
Like all air signs, Gemini is closely associated with the intellect, so Geminis love new ideas and mental stimulation. Their motto is "I SPEAK", and at times they seem to be all talk and little action. They always see both sides of any question and so find it difficult to decide which is better.
When it comes to love, Geminis are free spirits -- fickle and flirtatious. Attractive to many, they don't like commitment. They prefer undemanding partners and are likely to engage in secret affairs.

Cancer
The MythHeracles was the son of Zeus and Alcmena, a mortal woman whom Zeus made love to by appearing disguised as her husband. (why this Zeus so tiko one?! -.-) Hera, Zeus's jealous wife, was angry and made Heracles go mad and commit many crimes. As punishment, he was forced to perform 12 nearly impossible tasks.
The Twelve Labors of Heracles are one of the most famous of all Greek myths. One of these labors was to destroy the Hydra, a sea monster that had nine heads (I think i saw this constellation before! nice!). As Heracles struggled with the Hydra, a huge crab emerged from the ocean and took hold of his heel with its pincers. Heracles killed the crab with a blow and continued his fight. Hera was grateful to the crab because it fought her enemy Heracles, so as a reward, she placed it among the stars.
The Cancer Character
Keywords: +Loving+ +Maternal+ +Vulnerable+ -Tenacious- -Defensive- -Moody-First Desire: SecurityTask: To be more trusting
The moon, which rules Cancer, is associated with the virgin goddest of the hunt, Diana (known as Artemis to the Greeks). She is the patroness of childbirth, and there is a strong motherly part in the Cancer personality.
Cancers are drawn to family and home life. Like the crab, they are hard and tough outside but soft inside. They love to nurture others, though they can be moody, passive, and withdrawn. Since Cancers find reality threatening, they like to retreat into dreams and fantasies.
As a water sign, Cancers perceive the world primarily through their feelings. Their motto is "I FEEL". They are sensitive to their surroundings, easily influenced by others, and highly intuitive, sometimes to the point of being psychic.
What Cancers want most in love is security and commitment. Afraid of being betrayed, they frequently doubt and test their partners' love. Cancer men may suffer from mother complexes, but can become devoted husbands and affectionate, protective fathers.

Leo
The MythThe 1st of Heracles' Twelve Labors was to slay the Nemean Lion. This enormous creature had been terrorizing the countryside for years and was considered indestructible because its hide was as hard as steel.
Heracles found the lion at the mouth of its cave. His arrows, spear, sword and club all proved useless against the beast, so finally he attacked it with his bare hands. He got the animal in a headlock and with his superhuman strength choked it to death. After skinning the lion with one of its own claws, Heracles used its hide as a cloak and its head as a helmet and went on with his adventures.
The Leo Character
Keywords: +Trusting+ +Brave+ +Generous+ -Egotistical- -Proud- -Domineering-First Desire: PowerTask: To be more modest
The sun rules Leo, and people born under this sign have sunny, expressive natures. The motto of Leos is "I CREATE", and Leos are quick to find the drama in any situation and to cast themselves as the starring role.
Belonging to the most fiery of the fire signs, Leos are extroverted, impulsive, and passionate. As the lion rules the jungle, so Leos aspire to position of power. Born leaders, they love the spotlight and are generous with their time, money and energy. Though they may at times seem arrogant and selfish, they also have a naive, childlike side.
Leos can't bear to be without love for very long. Though they do not always choose their partners wisely, they desire commitment and can be honest and loyal lovers -- as long as they feel cared for in return. Give your Leo partner plenty of praise and encouragement if you want to ensure that he or she will remain faithful.

Scorpio
The MythOrion, the greatest hunter, vowed to kill all dangerous beasts. One day he met Artemis, the virgin goddest of hunt, and they soon became friends. Artemis's brother Apollo, the god of truth, did not approve of her handsome new companion, so he sent a giant scorpion to attack Orion. Realizing he could not defeat the monster, Orion dived into the sea and swam away. When he was far from shore, Apollo called to his sister and said 'If you are so skilled with your bow, let me see you shoot that log bobbing among the waves'
Artemis shot an arrow that pierced Orion's head. When she realized what she had done, she asked her father, Zeus, to bring her friend back to life. Zeus refused, however, and Artemis set Orion among the stars, along with the scorpion that forever pursues him. (Btw, you can never see the full Scorpio and Orion on the same sky. When Orion sets, Scorip will rise, and vise versa)
The Scorpio Character
Keywords: +Independent+ +Passionate+ +Energetic+ -Opinionated- -Secretive- -Vindictive-First Desire: ControlTask: To be more open
Scorpio is a water sign with deep, subconscious feelings that are related to nature's yearly cycle of death and rebirth. Its ruling planer is Pluto, named after the Roman god of the Underworld, known as Hades to the Greeks.
Self-protective and secretive, Scorpios hide their powerful emotions beneath a cold exterior. Yet they are very perceptive about others -- and are able to uncover the true motives of those around them.
The motto of this sign is "I DESIRE", and Scorpios are able to focus singlemindedly on what they want. They tend to excel in any field they choose -- politics, science, business, or the arts. Very competitive, they are good at finding and using their rivals' weaknesses.
Scorpios need ample time alone and prefer to have only a few close friends. Erotic and seductive, they see sex as a power struggle. Their jealousy and suspicioon make it difficult for Scorpios to sustain lifelong relationships.

Capricorn --> (finally, 到我了!)
The MythZeus's father, Cronus, had been warned that one of his own children would destroy him. He therefore swallowed his children as soon as they were born.(<--SICK!) After Zeus's birth however, his mother, Rhea, gave her husband a large stone wrapped in swaddling clothes. Cronus swallowed the stone thinking it was the infant (<--也够笨的!), and Rhea hid the real baby on the island of Crete.
Zeus survived by drinking the milk of the goat-nymph Amaltheia. Amaltheia was the mother of Pan, a god who was part goat and part man, the guardian of shepherds and their flocks. A wild, lazy, fun-loving god, Pan spent his days dancing, playing music, and seducing the nypmhs of the forest.
The Greeks associated Capricorn with Amaltheia and Pan. (<-- HAH?! that's it?! woa lau eh anti-climax!!!)
The Capricorn Character
Keywords: +Responsible+ +Forthright+ +Disciplined+ -Reserved- -Cautious- -Reclusive-First Desire: SuccessTask: To be more sociable
Capricorns are deep thinkers capable of great concentration. Cautious and conservative, they often seem reserved and melancholy.
The motto of Capricorns --"I MASTER" -- refers to their mastery of practical skills. The most ambitious of the earth signs, Capricorns employ their skils to achieve worldy success. They believe in hard work and discipline. Step by step, like the surefooted goat on a mountain path, they make their way toward their goal.
Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn, named after the father of gods, called Cronus by the Greeks, and Capricorns are authoritative, forbidding father figures (both men and women). They revere tradition and time-honoured rituals.
In love, Capricorns are not fond of taking risks or displaying emotion. They do not make friends easily, and are slow to find romance. Under their stern, cold exteriors, however, Capricorns are sensuous. Once you have broken the ice, you will feel the fire.

Aquarius
The Myth Eos, the Dawn, was in love with Ganymedes, who was the son of the King of Troy and the most beautiful boy on earth. However, she lost him to Zeus because as soon as Zeus saw the boy he decided to make him his cupbearer. In this position, Ganymedes would serve him nectar and ambrosia that kept all the gods immortal.
In order to seice Ganymedes, Zeus disguised himself as a giant eagle and swept down on him as he was walking on the Trojan plain one day. Grasping the boy in his claws, he carried him away to Mount Olympus. And there Ganymedes remained as cupbearer to the gods. Naturally he was granted immortality in exchange for his service and he retained his youthful beauty forever.
The Aquarius Character
Keywords: +Sociable+ +Progressive+ +Humane+ -Rebellious- -Erratic- -Eccentric-First Desire: KnowledgeTask: To be more sensitive
Just as water revives us by satisfying our thirst, Aquarius seeks to replenish culture with new ideas. Like all air signs, Aquarians are concerned with communication.
Aquarius' motto is "I UNDERSTAND". Honest, broadminded and amiable, Aquarians are popular and have many friends. Yet they are very independent and find one-to-one intimacy difficult.
While Aquarians are as curious about love as they are about everything else, they may seem cool and detached. They like mental stimulation in relationships, but avoid intense emotional situations. They can be charming, witty partners, but their fear of being hurt can stop them from getting too close to other people.

Pisces
The MythTyphon was the largest creature ever produced by Mother Earth. The upper half of his body was like that of a man, but he was taller than any mountain. From the hips down, the was shaped like a pair of great serpents, and a hundred hissing snake-heads sprouted from his shoulders. He spat fire from his mouth and his enormous wings blocked out the sky.
This monster terrorized both the earth and the gods on Mount Olympus. He once chased Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and her son Eros into the sea, where Poseidon changed them into a pair of fishes to help them escape.
Zeus eventually destroyed Typhon by dropping the Sicilian volcano of Mount Etna on top of him. He later put the 2 fishes among the stars as a tribute to Poseidon's cleverness.
The Pisces Character
Keywords: +Sensitive+ +Spiritual+ +Romantic+ -Melancholy- -Dreamy- -Irrational-First Desire: UnionTask: To be more dynamic
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, arriving at the end of winter as the earth prepares to be reborn. Pisces has aspects of all the other signs -- childlike Aries, sensual Taurus, imaginative Gemini, moody Cancer, creative Leo, modest Virgo, visionary Sagittarius, serious Capricorn and eccentric Aquarius -- and seeks to transcend them all.
The most watery of the water signs, Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune, named after the god of the sea, known as Poseidon to the Greeks. The 2 fish swimming in opposite directions -- one toward the far reaches of space and the other toward the inner depths of the soul -- symbolize Pisces' mystical tendencies. People of this sign live by their feelings. They are sensitive and empathetic, and often lose themselves in dreams.
The motto of Pisceans is "I BELIEVE", and what they believe in most is romantic love. Though they don't always choose partners wisely, they cannot be alone for long and will risk everything for love, again and again.
